Maki-e technology, which creates masterpieces through the most beautiful decorate dogs on the basis of detailed handcrafted technology, has been accumulated as a traditional technology for about 1,500 years. The Maki-e technique, which has gold, silver, enamel, mother-of-pearl, and pearl attached to it and finished with Urushi stamp, shows the speciality and nobility of Maki-e fountain pens among Sailor's KOP fountain pens.

The new limited edition, the Grand Prix collection, holds a variety of codes for car racing. This limited edition consisted of Palladium finish and Streamline-R line writing instruments coated with red and black lacquer, and S.T Dupont House's iconic models such as the Ligne 2 lighter.

Each piece comes with a Bronze-based miniature car, and the "Grand Prix" collection is limited to 1,929 pieces with unique numbers, modeled after the date of the first Grand Prix in Monaco.
